Utility Days

So far in 2009, CL&P and Yankee Gas have sponsored 10 Utility Days throughout the state of Connecticut. Utility Days provide an opportunity for financially challenged customers to qualify and sign-up for CL&P and Yankee Gas special assistance programs and services, as well as obtain information about energy efficiency and conservation.

Additionally, these customers have the opportunity to find out if they are eligible to participate in the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund's free weatherization program. Called WRAP, this in-home program helps customers save energy by repairing leaks and drafts, providing energy-efficient lighting and other services that can help reduce energy costs.

All customers receive personal service from CL&P and Yankee Gas representatives. Over 3,000 customers have already attended the events, up from 1,700 customers in 2008.
